Authors on View

Most of the authors and artists this issue have already been in authors on view and we have no particular information on most of the rest.  So we are having a sort of Bear Whiz this issue, making a little merry with you.  Or with our authors, one.  (Just playing around with my spell-check.)  For instance—

How'd this get here?  This is Cassandra, a muse of our publication.  She's an idol representing the goddess of illusion. However, she does some work on the magazine.

This is Eric, who gets the magazine put up, as you know.  He did a science fiction fanzine when he was six or seven called BEM. People still remember it.

On a more serious note, Dr. Mel Waldman is a licensed New York State psychologist and a candidate in psychoanalysis at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies (CMPS).  He is also a poet, writer, artist, and singer/songwriter.  After 9/11, he wrote 4 songs, including “Our Song”, which addresses the tragedy.  His stories have appeared in numerous literary reviews and commercial magazines including Happy, New Thought Journal, The Brooklyn Literary Review, Hardboiled, Hardboiled Detective, Detective Story Magazine, Espionage, and The Saint. He is a past winner of the literary Gradiva Award in Psychoanalysis and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in literature.  Periodically, he has given poetry and prose readings and has appeared on national TV and cable TV.  He is a member of the American Psychological Association.  He is currently working on a mystery novel inspired by Freud's case studies.
