Pastel Landscapes with Ron Burgess
October 31, 1-4 pm  Don't miss this great opportunity to try out pastels without a big investment!  Create a pastel landscape from a photo reference . . . bring your own photo or choose from those provided.
Ron is a member of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association, The Hoosier Salon, Indiana Heritage Arts and Chicago Pastel Painters.  He has won numerous awards with local and regional exhibits.  His most recent awards were Purchase Awards at the 2009 Hoosier Salon Annual Exhibit, 2nd Place Pastel at the 2009 First Brush of Spring in New Harmony, a Purchase Award at the 2008 Hoosier Salon Exhibit and Best of Show at the 2008 Crawfordsville Fall Art Exhibit. The Figure  with Susan Doster
November 7, 209 Time: 1pm - 4pm
Using a limited palette, we will be learning  about perceiving value range to describe form, using either oil or acrylic paint. The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon: painting with helpful suggestions from artist, Susan Doster. Please see attached list for the materials you will need.   A fine arts graduate from Purdue University, Susan moved to NYC in 1987. In 1990, she earned her MFA from the New York Academy of Art, at the Graduate School of Figurative Art. Currently, Susan's work can be seen in exhibitions at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette and at the Tippecanoe Arts Foundation. Her portrait of course designer, Pete Dye, is on view at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Still Life Painting
with Therese Lynch and Margaret Hanke will be offered at a later date. This will be a great time to give still life painting a try. The workshop will include still life set-up with lighting, color and composition.
