2009 Great Vegas Desert Wildflower Hunt

The 2009 Great Vegas Wildflower Hunt

February 24 to March 4, 2009

Tuesday, I arrived in Vegas.

Wednesday, my niece Sarah, her hub Jim and friend Caitlin arrived.

Thursday, we visited Red Rock National Conservation Area. Then want to see 'O'.

Friday, we visited Mojave National Preserve, saw the World's Largest Thermometer and then to the lava fields, saw a few wildflowers and explored a lava tube.

Saturday, was on your own day. I did laundry.
Caitlin returned home.

Sunday, we visited Death Valley National Park. We stopped at Rhyolite ghost town on the way in, Scotty's Castle, Devil's Golf Course and hike up Natural Bridge and part way up the dry water fall. We saw more wildflowers in Death Valley.

Monday, we visited Valley of Fire Nevada State Park. We found several petroglyphs and wildflowers.

Tuesday, we visited the Body Works exhibit at the Luxor. Then, I returned home.

I hope you enjoy checking out our memories.
