Saturday June 26

7:30 AM got up and had toast peanut butter and coffee.
9:45 AM Alert Construction team showed up and wanted to know what was up for the day????
10:00 AM We loaded into a van and headed to Hongor to check up on Logan. He was well and came back to town with the rest of us (Jerry, Boya, Byambaa, David Bass, His neice, a guy named Anthony and Mindee the driver....Note: Dad has come to enjoy Mindee's company as one construction, car repair guy to another. They communicate mostly with jestures)

11:30AM We headed back to Darkhan with Logan (much better).

12:00 Noon Darkhan hotel for lunch. I had beefsteack which is a hamburger patty of sorts with a fried egg on top, carrot salad, rice and fried potatoes. To drink...A Bitavit. A wonderful appricot/peach flavored fruit drink that has vitamins in it. Ice cream with currants on top. 1 Tabls of currants on top.

1:30 We drop Jerry and David off at their apartments (in the same building as ours) and head to the Beirge (open market). I wanted yeast and vegetables. Mark wanted a foam sleeping pad. Nathan bought a Rolex watch for $3.00. Arron bought an Omega for $3.00 Someone wanted a pair of shorts.

2:30 PM We headed for home. Nathan went to the post office to make a phone call to France and some of the others came here for e-mailing. David Bass went with Nathan along with Byambaa for interpretation.

3:00 PM They guys and Byambaa headed over to visit and roughhouse with the boys the orphans. They got back here and decided to head back to Hotel and eat supper.

6:00 PM Dad put together a small meatloaf and 2 baked potatoes. We decided that we should nap while the food baked.

7:30 PM Knock on the door. The guys are back. Due to elections tomorrow (Yes, Sunday)) The hotel restaurant is closed. No supper. We scrambled and cooked some potatoes, onions and sausage, some tuna noodle casserole left over and heated up, some crackers and cheese, a peach cobbler and that meatloaf and we fed them. They ate it alllll!

8:30 PM They leave and head over to David Bass's place to see a movie. Dad has invited them to breakfast and church here in the AM

8:45 PM Dad and I leave to go to the market for provisions. The Nomin Market is closed (We are growing weary of that store anyway as they incessantly play Boom Ba Boom Boom Boom music everytime we go there) There are stores in the end of these apartment buildings and so we stopped in one of those and got 3 doz eggs, two loaves of bread, spaghetti makings (after a fashion) some crackers and cookies. We should be able to get through tomorrow's food needs.

11:00 PM Thinking about you girls and hoping you are well and fared the night in the pro shop. Talking about life at ALERT never being dull. We are glad you are busy. We were discussing the things we will not miss about being here. I should not list them as it will only produce discontentment. Suffice it to say there are some wonderful things about America and that is a good thing. Count your many blessings. Name them one by one. God is good to us. Pray that the right man gets elected tomorrow, as it could affect Jerry's ministry here.
