Tuesday June 22Dad and I went with Byambaa to visit the little girls yesterday. They are aged 3 to 12. Dad was so neat with them, perhaps it's why he had girls of his own. He took balloons. There was much crying and whaling when we got there. Of course, I do not no what the fuss was about, but the countenance is a universal map. This is where I see the most suffering. You look at them they are all sweet, but their countenances tell you that there is much suffering behind the little eyes. There is one girl who has said to us, "I will never forgive" One little girl had a toothe ache. I thought she was putting in a new tooth, but from looking in her mouth, she has cavities. She must be all of 8 or 9. They said she had eaten something sweet. She also has something wrong with her mouth. I could see a scar, but she looks a bit like she's had a stroke in that her smile only works on half her mouth. Another girl has large warts. Dad offered to pray for them and one little girl, Agiima the girl that Jerry got in the video, kept bringing children to us and saying, "this one wets the bed, this one says bad things all the time. This one has a sore arm." Agiima was one of the ones who got angry yesterday. As Byambaa read a bible story, she sat on dad's lap and everytime he loosened his grip, she would pull his arm tighter around herself. Agiima is coming here this afternoon and we are going to speak to her about God and anger. She is not saved. She's ten years old. You would not know that by her picture. She is also very bright. Yesterday, the lady who is the head of the children's program asked me if I had any ideas for summer activities for the children. I thought of having a CTW Challenge just like the Cadet Challenge, but with both boys and girls. I think it should happen out at Hongor. And that it should be run by the ALERT guys. Dad and I discussed it a bit already. Thinking about a trust fall, relay races. scavanger hunt, A day in the country for the kids.... let the ALERT guys who are mainly working onconstruction get to know the kids and draw some scriptural applications. Do you think you could give me a run down of the activities you did with the STEP girls at the campout? Or any other idea that crosses your mind. I haven't talked with her about it yet. Will when I see her next. Dad made an attempt at doughnuts last night. We do not have the method yet. Still not good enough to even have Jerry sample. He took the lead sinkers to the complex to have a safety meeting with the guys. I am glad they are out of the house. Baking is not easy here, but it is a minor problem. Love,
