Excuses for Buying a New Computer

  1. I had a hard day/night at work and I deserve something nice.
  2. It's a Pentium IV with the new 775 chip!
  3. The prices have come down so much!
  4. I'm getting married soon/having a baby soon, so I better spend all my money on a new computer NOW before I have to settle down and be responsible.
  5. I might as well order 2 computers, instead of 1 -- Dave will give me a discount.
  6. This new computer just looks like it would make me feel good! How can I NOT buy it?
  7. I bet Quake XIII would really scream on on this new computer...
  8. I had a really GOOD month at work. Now what am I going to do with all this extra cash? It'll throw my whole budget off -- unless I blow it immediately on a new computer!
  9. All of my friends' computers are faster than mine.
  10. I'll bet having a snazzy new computer will snag me a lot of attractive young women (or men).
  11. I haven't bought a new computer in over a year! (Well, unless you count the scanner I just got or the memory upgrade last week)

  18. Any excuse to buy a new computer is a good one.

  20. I'm not really getting it for ME. I'm getting it to help my children with their education.
  21. Everything is computerized at work. I need it so I can do a better job at work.
  22. Well, since I can always sell it later, it's REALLY more like 'borrowing with a deposit' instead of 'buying'.

  26. Windows XP and Office XP are so HUGE, it's important for me to get a new computer with the hard disk and memory I need.
  27. Honest, honey -- Dave, Jesse and Ben MADE me buy it!
