Technological Perspectives

Computers possess
Priority programs.
Programs, a schedule.
Schedules, a timetable.
Timetables, an operator.
Operators, their computers.
Picking up a telephone,
Numbers are dialed.
Yet a computer informed us
It could not perform politely,
Possessing only memory.
All night, feverishly,
Information was keyed in
Only to be notified
That memory also
Had been exceeded.
Computers possessed
Priority programs
Until the presentation
Of terminal virus.
Polite or memory?
Either one would have sufficed.
