Outside Looking Out

By Walter Zimmerle

Mastered alterations of a cerebral explorer

Conceives a diverse consciousness limited

Only by infinity.  Illuminated spectrums

Grace her multicolored aura

As she penetrates barriers of the physical norm.

Plane to plane, reality to reality, plateau to plateau

She dances.  Embarked on the threshold

Of some forbidden realm, the soul traveler

Peers through the porthole of time.

The existence of God? No longer a question.

Mystery of death?  Solved and not feared.

Proverbial fairies?   Yes, still fantasy

…Not so, for disembodied acquaintances.

Astral queen, courageous,

Outside looking out,

How fortunate you are

To reap the best of both worlds.
