An Augury for Autumn

We'll have an article on religion in our next issue, that we're reasonably sure will be a draw. Religion is so rare these days that it's precious, and of near-infinite value. You'll see names like Manachino and Dagstine, too, and some new names we're not unpackaging as yet. Plus if you look at the next issue you'll be able to see the results of our advertising in Analog, F&SF and Asimov's. What it's brought us to advertise will be visible in that issue, out in September.  By Jar, by Pamphrey, it seems like it will be a good issue.

Writers Guidelines: If you want your work to appear in Surprising, try to smoke us on the B-ball court like that fellow in the advertisement.  Fairly short and effective is the way we like them best, with good grammar on the part of the writer at least, and respect for man, but otherwise apocalyptic or highly conscious of the modern world or interpretive of the ancient ones.  Try us out! Good art is always sought, as well.
